Attorney Moneka Sanford
Moneka Sanford was born in Detroit and made the move to Oakland County at the tender age of 11 years old. Since then, she has dedicated her young adult and professional years to contributing to the vibrancy of this community she proudly calls home. For over three decades, she has immersed herself in the community, working and raising her two children. Her deep connection to Oakland County serves as the foundation for her commitment to its residents.
With two decades of legal experience and a background as a former social worker, Moneka brings a unique perspective to her practice. Prior to pursuing her law degree at Wayne State, she served with the State of Michigan as a social worker, working closely with individuals during their most challenging moments. This experience ignited her passion for advocacy, prompting her to become an attorney.
As the proprietor of her private law practice, Moneka advocates for the people of Oakland County, actively practicing in the same courtrooms she aspires to serve. Her dedication to the law and her unwavering commitment to assisting others make her a formidable advocate in Oakland County. She has handled a diverse range of cases, including both criminal and family law matters.
